Richard Kihl Ltd was incorporated in 1969
The company was one of the first ‘fine wine brokers’, trading from premises in Regents Park Road in North London, where for a time the company also dealt in wine antiques and accessories.
In 1994 Richard Kihl moved to Aldeburgh in Suffolk, where we continue to trade to this day. In 2001 the ownership changed when Richard himself retired and Antony Irvine purchased the company. You can read more about how the business began and the early days of en primeur here:
Whilst we hold some wine in our duty-paid cellars at our retail shop in Aldeburgh, the vast majority of our stocks are held under bond at London City Bond at Tilbury, on the outskirts of London.
Our main customers include fine wine traders, independent wine merchants and high-end hotels and fine dining restaurants. We also have an extensive mailing list of private individuals both in the UK and abroad.
