We are delighted to offer you the latest 2025 vintage release of Domaine Ott's Côte de Provence 'Clos Mireille' Rosé, due to land in the UK in May and available at £165 per six bottles in bond.
Established by Marcel Ott in 1896, Domaine Ott was the original luxury Provençal rosé and still has a claim to being the best. Today, it is under the same ownership as Château Pichon-Lalande and Champagne Louis Roederer.
Clos Mireille is one of Ott's three vineyards, a Cru Classé estate, about an hour west of St-Tropez. The location is idyllic and the 56 hectares of vines run right down to a private beach, the Plage du Pellegrin, which overlooks Fort de Brégançon, the island holiday home of the French president. This closeness to the sea is particularly unusual. The terroir is shallow schist and quartz soil. Clos Mireille rosé is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Rolle.
The 2025 season in coastal Provence saw extremes of water and heat: a very wet start, including severe storms in May that left vineyards saturated, followed by an almost rainless summer (just 8mm from June to August) with prolonged heatwaves reaching up to 40°C. This pattern accelerated ripening, reduced yields (down around 10%), and pushed growers into very early, often night-time harvesting from mid-August to preserve freshness - particularly critical for rosé. As always, Clos Mireille's exceptional location next to the sea helped to moderate temperatures and ensure cooling sea breezes, maintaining the freshness and elegance we have come to expect each year from this superb rosé.
