Jadot's 2021 burgundies were the first we tasted from this tiny but excellent harvest and they set the tone for all our subsequent tastings of the vintage.  From the first few wines we tried, we were enamoured both of Jadot and of the potential for the year, a view which has not changed after further tastings and time at the domaines. 

You will see some prices have risen sharply, but there is still value to be had, with the less well-known appellations offering better quality than ever before.  Recent vintages from villages like Marsannay, Pernand-Vergelesses, and Savigny-Les Beaune, not to mention the vineyards around Beaune itself, are now surpassing the wines from a decade or two ago from some of the more famous locations.  The wines from these less famous villages all performed brilliantly when we tasted the '21s.   

Jadot's white wines really shone for us, with remarkable concentration, which we put down to the low yields, accompanied by beautiful balance.  The reds have the weight and elegance of wines from vintages of two or three decades ago, but with all the purity and precision of fruit flavours we have come to expect from modern burgundy.

With yields in some cases reduced by 70%, quantities are extremely tight this year and, below, we offer just 23 wines (instead of the usual 40 or more), from Jadot's encylopaedic selection, all on allocation. 

Preference will be given to buyers of the wines in previous vintages. Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like an allocation.
