Producer Profile

Château de Fieuzal

Château de Fieuzal is a Grand Cru Classé de Graves estate in the commune of Pessac-Léognan, known for both its white and red wines.  The estate was named after the de Fieuzal family and wine has been made here for around 400 years.

Since 2001 Fieuzal has been owned by Brenda and Lochlann Quinn, an Irish couple.  The estate spans over 75 hectares of land, with 58 hectares devoted to red grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, and 10 hectares for white grape varieties, primarily Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.

The vineyard's soil is rich in gravel, the classic soil type in Pessac. The winery implements sustainable viticultural practices, minimizing interventions to preserve the natural equilibrium of the ecosystem.
The estate produces two wine labels, "Chateau de Fieuzal" and "Les Hauts de Fieuzal".
