This morning, the 2024 Seña, awarded 98 points by both James Suckling and Tim Atkin, has been released at £395 per six bottles in bond.

First produced in 1995, Seña gained international recognition at the ‘Tasting of Berlin’ in 2004. Eduardo Chadwick took a gamble, entering his 2001 vintage blind against First Growths including Lafite, Margaux and Latour, alongside Super Tuscans Sassicaia and Tignanello — and won.

The 2024 is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Malbec, 16% Carmenère and 6% Petit Verdot, grown across a 42-hectare hillside vineyard in Chile’s Aconcagua Valley. The wine was aged for 18 months, with 70% in French oak barrels and 30% in foudres, and has a final ABV of 13.1%.
