Tasting Notes"A brilliant Pauillac at its peak, the 2000 Château Lynch-Bages is based on 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot and aged 15 months in 70% new French oak. Drinking beautifully, it offers ripe currants, dried flowers, tobacco, spice, and hints of lead pencil on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with ripe, polished, integrated tannins and a great finish. This might be the best fully mature Lynch-Bages for drinking today, and it has plenty of life ahead with a solid 20 years of prime drinking. Drink 2026-2046. 97 points" Jebdunnuck.com, Apr 2026 |
