Tasting Notes"The 2019 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru has a lovely bouquet that is wonderfully delineated and focused, presenting a quite intense mixture of red and black fruit tinged with sous-bois and light black truffle aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with bold tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Smooth in texture, it exhibits dark chocolate and brown spice notes, some new oak just masking the terroir expression and delineation on the finish at the moment. Give this at least 4–5 years in bottle and that will be addressed. Just one double barrel produced (460 liters). 2025 - 2048. 93-95 points." Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"Interestingly, this is aromatically quite similar to the Chapelle though as is usually the case, it's even spicier. The exceptionally rich big-bodied flavors possess outstanding mid-palate volume and concentration thanks to the abundant dry extract that coats the palate and does a fine job of buffering the very dense but fine-grained tannins on the powerful and strikingly long finish. This is a knockout but be prepared to be patient if you wish to experience this potential gem at its peak. 93-96 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"Intense deep red colour, the nose is less immediate, but the fruit shows a succulent mouthful of very ripe fruit, on the edge of excess. A little bit of alcohol showing. The upper sector of their holding is the same planting as the Chapelle-Chambertin, but without hitting the same astonishing heights this year. 93-97 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"The 2019 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) is extremely promising, unfurling in the glass with aromas of rich, plummy fruit mingled with orange rind, exotic spices, raw cocoa and espresso roast. Full-bodied, layered and velvety, it's muscular and concentrated, with lively acids and a long, penetrating finish. 95-97 points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com |

Tasting NotesThe 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru has an exquisite bouquet of crystalline red berry fruit laced with minerals, wonderfully delineated and focused. The palate is smooth and sensual on the entry, and very cohesive, with a perfect line of acidity. Pure and ravishing, armed with a satin-textured finish, this is going to be very difficult to resist once in bottle. Superb. 93-95 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a transparent bouquet with touches of Earl Grey tea interwoven into the lifted red berry scents. There is fine mineralité and that is transposed onto the palate that is very well balanced. Classic in style with a persistent, grainy textured finish and a peppery aftertaste, dare I say, but say I do, this is one of the best damn Chambolle-Musigny Village wines that you will come across in 2019. 90-92 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting NotesFrom one the domaine's oldest plots, the vines were planted in 1935, 2 hectares in one parcel, described by Sam as the best of all of the Santenay Villages plots. Excellent, structured tannins and tending more towards black fruit character than the first two wines. RKL |

Tasting NotesThe 'Clos Rousseau' is from three parcels of old vines; Les Fourneaux, planted in 1914, Le Grand Clos Rousseau (1980), and Le Petit Clos Rousseau (1955). Spicy, black fruit and then exceptionally fine tannins which change the profile of the wine, with succulent fruit and mouth-watering acidity. Excellent length and very precise on the finish. RKL |

Tasting Notes"Rich purple, the warm site of La Coutière delivers a slightly more cooked fruit on the nose. However the wine grows on the palate because there is a fresher, juicier red fruit behind, a little bit of peach, good acidity. Charles does not punch down this or the Corton to avoid firm tannins. 88-90 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"A slightly riper nose of baked plum, warm earth and a smoky wisp gives way to delicious and caressing medium weight flavors that culminate in a lingering and moderately rustic finale. 88-91 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"Aromas of cassis, plums and sweet forest floor, framed by creamy new oak, introduce the 2020 Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru La Coutière, a medium to full-bodied, rich and structured wine built around lively acids and powdery tannins. 91 points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2020 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge has a more powerful bouquet compared to the Bourgogne Rouge with cassis and violet scents bursting from the glass. The palate is well balanced with caressing tannins, fine weight and acidity, rounded with a touch of baking powder on the finish. Fine. 86-88 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"A brooding and timid nose grudgingly reflects notes of dark currant, pungent earth and a whiff of spice. By contrast, there is fine verve to the delicious and intense middle weight flavors that exude a bracing salinity on the racy, refreshing and linear finish. One to consider. Outstanding. 86-89 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound |

Tasting Notes"A very ripe nose speaks primarily of poached plum, dark currant, spice and the barest whisper of oak. There is again good density and punch to the saline-suffused medium-bodied flavors that are supported by bright acidity and firm tannins on the lingering and slightly warm finale. 89-92 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound-----"The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru is very pure on the nose, quite intense like the Vieilles Vignes with verging on ostentatious black cherry and cassis fruit, very floral and not shy in the slightest. The palate restores order with some gorgeous red berry fruit, slightly gourmand in style, almost gamey towards the finish that feels very long. Succulent ‘n sexy. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"Ripe and reasonably layered aromas of poached plum, spice and dark currant complement the nicely rich and voluminous flavors that possess excellent punch if limited refinement as the firm and almost chewy finish is borderline rustic. Delicious but not particularly Chambollesque. 87-90 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes, from 60 to 80-year old vines, has a powerful bouquet with ebullient dark cherry, violet and cassis notes, a hint of melted chocolate in the background. The palate is well balanced, quite intense with sappy black cherry and boysenberry fruit vying for attention on the finish. You get the feeling this is holding something in reserve so give it 5-6 years in the cellar. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2020 Beaune Aux Coucherias 1er Cru has a pure, quite perfumed bouquet with red cherries and crushed strawberry fruit. The one-third new oak is nicely integrated here. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, dark berry fruit with hints of black olive and balsamic, moderate length, though perhaps a little rustic. 87-89 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"An overtly spicy and moderately cool yet ripe nose freely reveals its aromas of red currant, raspberry, violet and a hint of just turned earth. There is evident minerality suffusing the generously proportioned medium weight flavors that tighten up on the lingering finale. This is very Beaune and a wine that should drink well young but also with up to a decade of aging. 90 points." Burghound.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2020 Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru, matured with 25% new oak, has a tightly-wound bouquet with black cherries, raspberry coulis, undergrowth and quite a strong saline influence. Tasting Notes"Cask sample. Mid cherry. Peppery dark-red fruit. Marked acidity, just enough flesh to balance. A tight, energetic and sinewy wine that becomes more and more scented in the glass. This builds to a real beauty of balance, it is tight, fine-boned, delicious and not to be rushed. 13.5%. Drink 2027 – 2042. 18 points" jancisrobinson.com (JH)------"The 2020 Volnay Les Champans 1er Cru, matured in 20% new oak, has an expressive and quite open, floral bouquet with red cherries, undergrowth, crushed strawberry and a touch of black tea. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, harmonious and poised with good substance towards the finish. This is very refined and classy. 92-94 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |
