Tasting Notes"The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes ler Cru has an expressive bouquet with black cherries, raspberry confit and light sous-bois aromas, becoming more opulent with aeration. The palate is sweet on the entry, rounded in texture with wild strawberry and raspberry, white pepper and thyme, harmonious on the finish, though not as complex as the Les Cras. 90-92 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras ler Cru has a lively black cherry, cassis and wild strawberry scented bouquet, more floral than the Les Charmes. The palate is generous on the entry with supple tannins, lightly spiced, slightly high-toned on the finish with a long black pepper and thyme tinged aftertaste. Excellent, but it will need some bottle age. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2021 Chambertin Clos-de-Beze Grand Cru has an attractive nose with red berry fruit, autumn leaves and subtle graphite scents, all gaining intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. It's surprisingly creamy in texture and candied towards the finish, though lacks the intrinsic complexity of a truly great vintage. It becomes a little hard with aeration, unlike the Chambertin. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"A deft application of wood easily allows the much spicier aromas of red and dark berries, smoked game and forest floor to be appreciated. The rich yet sleek and utterly delicious bigger-bodied and more powerful flavors exude a more subtle minerality on the balanced and impressively persistent finale. This is classier as well as markedly more complex than the Chapelle. 92-95 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"Offering up aromas of rich cherries, berries and plums mingled with spices and orange zest, and framed by toasty new oak, the 2021 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) is full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with a seamless, enveloping profile and melting structuring tannins. 93-95 points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com------"Pretty pink purple with a lively but fine nose. The fruit starts discreetly but then here it comes, delivering a level of class not seen in any of the previous Jadot wines, good though they are. The Clos de Bèze is beautifully balanced, and light on its feet. Drink from 2028-2035. 94-97 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2021 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has a rather stoic nose, with backward, light red berry fruit laced with decaying leaves that gradually unfurl in the glass. The palate is medium bodied with plant tannins, good density dark berry fruit laced with orange rind and a pinch of white pepper. It misses the length and grace on the finish that a more benevolent season would bring. Fine. 90-92 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com ------"The 2021 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) has turned out very well, exhibiting aromas of sweet cherries, berries, petals and spices, framed by toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it's deep and muscular, with fine balance and a penetrating finish. This cuvée is now harvested in two picks, one week or so apart, instead of all in the same day. 92-93 points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com------"A pink purple colour of medium density. Correct density on the front of the palate then really quite a brutal tannin at the back. The bouquet is not showing much yet and the palate is a bit grumpy. The Clos Vougeot is going through a surly stage but should deliver in due course. Drink from 2028-2035. 91-94 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"An unusually perfumed nose reflects notes of red currant, earth and a vague hint of exotic spice. In the same vein as the nose, there is an unusually suave texture to the round and delicious medium-bodied flavors that brim with sappy dry extract that helps to buffer the compact, firm and sneaky long finish. This possesses fine development potential. 92-94 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound |

Tasting Notes(Heritiers Louis Jadot) "Cask sample. Sweet, slightly gamey nose. Lighter than the usual grand cru with quite marked acidity. It’s even a little bitter on the end. Not showing beautifully at this early stage. Chewy and without quite enough fruit weight to compensate. Drink 2028 – 2040. 16++points" jancisrobinson.com------"Aromas of sweet red berries, plums, peonies and spices introduce the 2021 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, rich and ample wine with a deep core of fruit, sweet structuring tannins and a long, mouthwatering finish. This cuvée is always a strong suit chez Jadot, and this year is no exception. 91-93+ points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com |

Tasting Notes(Domaine) "Cask sample. Bright mid garnet. Sweet, jewelly, bright-fruited nose. Superior density and great fragrance. Real impact on the palate. Great persistence. Refined but not scrawny. Lifted and elegant on the nose with real breadth on the palate. Just gorgeous already even though one knows that it will just go on getting better and better. Drink 2028 – 2045. 18 points" jancisrobinson.com------"There are only seven barrels of the 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques (Domaine Louis Jadot), an attractively sensual wine evocative of cherries, plums, orange zest, smoke and spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with a sweet core of fruit, powdery tannins and a penetrating finish, its quality is some compensation for the lack of quantity. 92-94 points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com |

Tasting NotesFrom vines planted in 1935. A great all-round village-level red burgundy with some good weight to it. Really nice intensity on the nose, beautifully ‘composed’; raspberry, black cherry, myrtle and thyme. Lovely balance to the palate, deep and spicy, fine tannins giving a soft texture. Perfect ripeness levels. Very straight and pure. |

Tasting Notes"Les Fourneaux" is a lieu-dit within the Clos Rousseau Premier Cru, one of the Santenay's best sites. Most of the vineyard was planted in 1914! The 2022 is even more intense than the 'straight' Clos Rousseau. Intense dark fruits on the nose, lifted, fresh, floral and perfumed. The palate also has more salinity (Sam confirms this is more pronounced here than in Clos Rousseau). The tannins are rounder and finer than Clos Rousseau and the wine has an inky, powerful depth. Lots of concentration, but ultimately this is about refinement, structure, and complexity. RKL |

Tasting NotesDark, powerful and intense core; dark earthy black cherry and cassis. A brilliant attack, expands, then puckers up the mouth with its tannins, firm but refined, evolving and eventually fading elegantly. Very good length. Not focused or expansive, just long! Very impressive, a reminder of just how good Bachey-Legros’ top sites can be. In previous vintages we have commented on the similarity with wines from Vosne-Romanee and the comparison holds true for 2022! RKL |

Tasting Notes15% new oak this year. Smoky, dark cherry aromas, a complete 'wow' on the nose. Then a big, succulent core of dark and red fruit on the palate. Despite being on the fruit, this is in perfect balance. Excellent. RKL |

Tasting Notes20% new oak this year. Raspberry, black tea and some graphite on the nose. Powerful tannins, even more so than usual, but then there is a really deep core of juicy red fruits, like a punnet of raspberries, to balance the structure and assure us that this will turn out beautifully with around 2 - 3 years in bottle. One of the best-value red burgundies to be had. RKL |

Tasting Notes"A cool, airy and beautifully layered nose is comprised by liqueur-like aromas of essence of red and dark currant, violet, rose petal and crushed fennel wisps. There is superb depth to the moderately dense and equally seductively textured flavors that possess a sophisticated mouthfeel before terminating a well-balanced, youthfully austere and impressively long finish. This refined yet powerful effort is quite tightly wound and is clearly a wine built for long-term cellaring. Excellent. 93-96 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"A fine even deep ruby purple. The bouquet is backward with still a suggested intensity of fruit that can easily cope with the stems. Beautifully suave with an enveloping dark red fruit, a very graceful finish on silky, refined tannins, and we don’t often say silky for Morey St Denis. They are caressing, according to Jacques. The floral touch works throughout, beautifully long and sensual. Drink from 2032-2042+. 96-98 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com |
