Tasting NotesFrom a 1.2 hectare plot on clay-limestone soil in the heart of the Chambolle commune, aged for around 17 months in 25% new oak barrels. Yields were just 22 hl/ha in '24, resulting in very concentrated fruit. Beautiful aromatic nose of violets, wood smoke, Victoria plum and dark cherry. Fresh acidity accentuating the supple tannins and a velvety texture. Excellent length on the palate. The old vines really do lend a concentration and depth on the palate rarely found in village wines. RKL------"The 2024 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes has quite a floral bouquet with scents of white flowers and potpourri that infuse the transparent red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a pleasant fleshiness but there is just sufficient grip with a dash of white pepper on the finish. Drink over the next several years. Drinking Window: 2027 2035. 87-89 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com ------"A more deeply pitched nose features notes of plum, dark cherry, spice and a violet top note. There is better volume to the delicious and caressing but punchy flavors as the old vines are in evidence while delivering good length on the dusty, lightly stony and lingering finale. This isn't especially refined but offers plenty of character and overall, this is also one to consider provided you're willing to cellar it for a few years first. Drink: 2030+. 89-91 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound |

Tasting Notes"Mid crimson. Dark-red fruit, a hint of spice and an impression of depth. Firm, chewy but refined tannins. Builds in the mouth and needs time to unfurl but it’s well balanced now. (JH) 16 points" jancisrobinson.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2024 Bourgogne Pinot Noir Vieilles Vignes has a ripe nose with a slight spirituous element. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, just needing a little more brightness and more Pinoté to come through. Just a bit flat-footed at the moment. Drinking Window: 2025-2029. 85 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2024 Pommard les Epenots 1er Cru is habitually one of the stranger cuvées from the Domaine. This has a mixture of red and black fruit, undergrowth and mulch-like scents percolating through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins that lend this commendable tension. It gains more clarity towards the finish, far superior to the Clos Micault with a dab of cracked black peper on the finish. Enjoy over the next 12 to 15 years. A lovely old school Pommard. Drinking Window: 2027 - 2042. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2024 Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru opens up nicely in the glass. Initially rather bashful, it opens up with brambly red fruit, crushed stone and light strawberry pastille scents, an underlying sous-bois element becoming more pronounced with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with darker fruit than the Pezerolles, fine grip, notes of black pepper and used tea leaves, just a hint of dark chocolate on the finish. This should age with style. Drinking Window: 2027 - 2045. 92-94 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2024 Volnay Vieilles Vignes has quite a high-toned bouquet with raspberry coulis and crushed strawberry scents, just a bit of prune in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit. Nicely structured, this shows more freshness on the palate than the nose, touches of allspice and white pepper furnishing the slightly rustic finish. On par with the previous vintage. Drinking Window: 2026 - 2034. 86-88 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"Cask sample (large oak cask). Quite dark mid cherry. Fresh red fruits, cherry and strawberry. Quite high, fresh, zesty acidity with a rounded palate. Just a touch of spice. A pretty wine with good length and volume. (MH) 16.5 points" jancisrobinson.com------"The 2024 Beaune Clos des Ursules 1er Cru has a delightful, well-defined and quite complex bouquet with a little more florality and mineralité than the Boucherottes or Cras. Very focused. The palate is very well balanced with just the right amount of acidity. A mixture of red and black fruit laced with white pepper and desiccated orange peel, it feels assured on the finish. A worthy follow-up to the excellent 2023. Drinking Window: 2028 - 2042. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com ------"An even ruby to light purple in colour. The bouquet is both the most complete and the most distinguished of the Beaune sextet. A kernel of red cherries, a restrained structure on refined tannins, adequate acidity, a fine and balanced Beaune. Drink from 2030-2036. 92-95 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com |

Tasting Notes(Heritiers Louis Jadot) "Light crimson. Enticingly sweet and fragrant, with just a light herbal (but not unripe) note. Sweet like wild strawberries and tart like sour cherries but there’s also a fine stone-dust/mineral impression. An unusual impression on the palate, both dry and silky – extreme finesse with a gentle grip. Scented, delicate yet with underlying depth and power. Very long. (JH) 17.5 points" jancisrobinson.com------"Crimson with a paler rim. Some darker cherry and a bit of raspberry. A fair crunch on the palate, though this has ripened to perhaps the optimum degree for the vintage. No more than middleweight, but an attractive Pougets. Drink from 2031-2037. 91-93 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"The 2024 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru is understated compared to previous vintages, lighter yet well balanced and displaying plenty of finesse, wild strawberry mixed with raspberry and wilted rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly furry tannins, moderate weight, nicely balanced with a persistent quite peppery finish that leaves the tongue tingling. Not quite in the league of the best vintages but certainly fine in context of the vintage. Drinking Window: 2028 - 2048. 92-94 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"Light to mid cherry. Both sweet-fruited and a touch herbal. Chewy yet fine tannin structure, layered and refined if firm overall. Taut, fresh, perhaps a touch lean at the moment. Upright, more closed than the Corton-Les Pougets. Hoping it takes on more flesh in the bottle. Very long even if not in any way approachable. (JH) 17.5+ points" jancisrobinson.com ------"2 x 350-litre barrels. Pale to mid ruby in colour. Some attractive raspberry fruit, plenty of strawberry, a softer style which makes this Echezeaux a little less lacy than usual, yet with good length. Drink from 2030-2037. 92-95 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"The 2024 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a clean, well-defined nose with raspberry coulis, wild strawberry and iodine scents, perhaps not quite as audacious as the 2023 but a very competent and classy Eche'. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins, layers of mulberry, raspberry and black pepper leading to a satisfying, quite persistent finish. This shakes off the travails of the growing season with class. Drinking Window: 2027 - 2046. 93-95 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"Cask sample. Light smudgy crimson. Sweet, dark-red fruit and a hint of oak sweetness/spice. Oak and spice on the palate but that does not overwhelm the pure, fragrant fruit. Delicious and already harmonious. Pure, bright and long in a lighter style. (JH) 17 points" jancisrobinson.com------"An even crimson colour, not the deepest, but then the dark fruited concentration really kicks in on the palate, with a sterner structure and fine persistence. The nobility of the terroir transcends the vintage. Perhaps not quite the mid palate amplitude of a richer year, but the 2024 Clos St-Jacques has been well made. Drink from 2032-2038. 93-95 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"The 2024 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Saint-Jacques 1er Cru is limited to a single foudre this year (equivalent to eight barrels). It demands a little more coaxing than usual from the nose but repays your patience with gorgeous scents of brambly red berries, rosehip, orange pith and crushed stone. It just exudes the essence of Clos Saint-Jacques. The palate is beautifully balanced with fine tannins and a crisp line of acidity. Very harmonious, a most silky in texture, it discreetly fans out towards the finish and has much more persistence than the Estournelles or Lavaux. Despite the poor season, Jadot manages to make a wonderful Clos Saint-Jacques. Drinking Window: 2029 - 2050. 94-96 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"Mid purple. The bouquet suggests a juiciness to follow, and there is quite a density of raspberry fruit, backed by some oak vanilla. Medium bodied, not the most persistent, but attractive. Drink from 2029-2034. 91-93 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"The 2024 Gevrey-Chambertin Estournelles Saint Jacques 1er Cru has more red fruit on the nose, a little bolder than the Lavaux, cassis and pressed violets, just a hint of leather. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip. Fine weight, this is well balanced with good delineation, perhaps more understated than recent solar vintages, yet it feels reassuringly prolonged on the aftertaste and delivers the sapidity to beckon you back for more. Drinking Window: 2028 - 2045. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2024 Musigny Grand Cru has a much more intense and flamboyant bouquet compared to the preceding Amoureuses: raspberry and wild strawberry, blood orange and rose petals, all with superb delineation and the depth you expect from this vineyard. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannins that lend this a satin-textured mouthfeel. Beautifully balanced with very well integrated ock, there is ample depth and it feels very long on the succulent finish. Very seductive. Tasting Notes"The 2024 Pommard Rugiens 1er Cru comes from two 350-litre barrels. It has a light bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, briar and touches of cedar, though it is missing some intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded tannins lending it a Volnaysian texture. Fine acidity, though it does not kick on towards the finish, feeling a bit conservative overall with tea leaves on the aftertaste. Drinking Window: 2027 - 2035. 86-88 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com ------"Mid cherry red. Smells nicely stemmy but apparently there’s no whole-bunch component. Fine tannins, nicely dry, lively dark fruit. Impressive for young vines. Needs time to fill out. (JH) 17+ points" jancisrobinson.com------"More crimson than ruby. Immediately, the nose gives off its iron rich aromatics. It is that, plus the exceptional depth of fruit which characterise Rugiens, and this wine does not disappoint in the latter capacity either. All red, nothing black, adequate acidity, and appropriate tannins which give sufficient grip to the wine. A fraction of pepper to finish. Young vines with top pinot selection have delivered well. Drink from 2031-2037. 92-94 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com |
