Evidently higher up the slope, which gives a dancing quality, while the low yield in this instance seems genuinely to concentrate the wine. Greater intensity at the back of the palate than the Bâtard and with notable persistence. It is very controlled, perhaps not the most flattering Chevalier at this primal stage, though delineated and focused. The palate is precise and intense, yet it is blessed with a surfeit of elegance and refinement. There is a real peacock's tail on the finish that stretches on and on. Tasting Notes"The 2024 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru has an expressive bouquet with nectarine, white peach, lime cordial and yellow flower scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly honeyed texture. There is a keen line of acidity but it just misses the complexity of Jadot's other Grand Crus on the finish. Tasting Notes"In foudre, so not quite so clear and shows a little bit of lees infused reduction on the nose. Only moderate depth of fruit here and a fair acidity. From two plots, in the lower part of the vineyard, the Charmes was picked a week after the other two Meursaults. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Not as complex or as mineral-driven as the best Charmes this vintage, though it has a linearity and focus that is commendable. The palate is taut and fresh, intense with racy acidity, real depth and drive. Very cohesive all the way through to the finish, there is a sense of completeness here derived from the propitious terroir. Superb. Tasting Notes"The 2024 Montrachet Grand Cru has another well-defined nose, though juxtaposed against the Chevalier this does not contain the same amplitude or refinement. The palate is intense and broad-shouldered, the richness counterbalanced by the acidity. A little spicier than the Chevalier-Montrachet on the finish, this lingers in the mouth. Tasting Notes"The 2024 Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Garenne 1er Cru has a very cohesive bouquet with a little more tension than the La Garenne cuvée: touches of grilled walnut and almond, a dab of crushed stone. The palate is well balanced with a smooth entry. Again, the acidity is just a bit lower than expected, fine depth, quite rounded on the finish with hints of camomile coming through with time. The palate is well balanced with a tangy, light spiced entry. There is a fine thread of acidity here with just a dab of lemongrass that enlivens the finish. Worth seeking out.
