Full-bodied, sweet and intense. 95-96 points" jamessuckling.com "Offers a bold, spicy profile, with nectarine, ginger, hazelnut and pineapple notes. Tasting Notes"Of the 22 very promising ingredients, many are big and muscular, while some are particularly spicy. As usual, Bérénice Lurton did not show the final blend, which is likely to be about 14.3% alcohol. Drink 2027-2050. 18 points" jancisrobinson "The 2015 Climens was tasted from different lots (after naughty Bérénice Lurton had successfully duped me with her April Fool's joke by saying that she had done a final blend). The fruit was picked from 8 September until 4 October at 21 hl/ha. The residual sugar is 130 grams per liter this year. Aromas that spring from samples included acacia honey, orange blossom, grapefruit and a little frangipane, all beautifully defined and gaining intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a viscous opening, a dash of spice on the entry, lively in the mouth with ginger and a dash of pepper tincturing the honeyed fruit, long and sustained as it fans out with vigor. This is a fabulous Climens from Bérénice Lurton and her team, and as usual, those with wise heads will opt to lay bottles down for 15 years to get the most from this special Barsac. It is destined to be a great Climens - and that's no April Fool's joke. 96-98 points" Neal Martin, erobertparker.com

Tasting Notes"The 2016 Coutet has an intriguing bouquet, more exotic than I have noticed in the past, scents of tangerine and dried pineapple, not quite the mineral drive that I expect from Coutet. The palate is serviced back to normal: a very fine line of acidity, great delineation, taut and focused with a brisk and precise finish. I just hope that the aromatics get their house in order during the barrel maturation so that it matches the palate. At the moment, I will be prudent with my score. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, RobertParker.com "Oily and dense with lots of sliced-cooked-pineapple, honey and light spice character. Full body and a long and spicy finish. Lasts a long time on the palate. 94-95 points" jamessuckling.com

Tasting Notes"This is very serious with lots of spicy, botrytis character and a deep and dense palate. Full-bodied, very sweet and long on the finish. 94-95 points" jamessuckling.com "The 2016 Doisy Daene has a generous bouquet with lovely scents of yellow flower and peach infusing the honeyed aromas. The palate is fresh on the entry with tangy orange peel and peachy notes, very harmonious and viscous in texture, leading to a detailed and persistent finish that is one of the most delicious I can remember from this Barsac estate. This wine will always be tinged with sadness, since it coincides with the passing of Denis Dubourdieu. But his legacy will live on in his wines, including this one, which is magnificent. Drink 2021-2060. 95-97 points" Neal Martin, erobertparker.com

Tasting Notes"The Doisy Daëne 2016 Blanc Sec is one of those wines that just makes you fall head over heels in love with white Bordeaux and makes you wonder why you spent all that money on white Burgundy grand crus. The bouquet is just heavenly with white peach, orange pith and citrus notes that are seamlessly integrated with the oak. The palate is extremely well balanced with a nigh on perfect strand of acidity, shimmering with energy and blessed with a very precise, razor-sharp finish that has just a faint tang of salinity. Just superb. Drink now, leave it, do what you want. Tasted August 2017. 93 points" Neal Martin, RobertParker.com

Tasting Notes"The 2016 Rieussec is a blend of 83% Sémillon, 12% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Muscadelle picked form 26 September until 4 November. It has a much more straightforward bouquet compared to the 2015 with light honeysuckle and white flower aromas. There is good acidity in the mouth thanks the passerillé berries, nicely balanced with a touch of orange zest towards the linear finish that will hopefully gain more weight during its élevage. It is likely to be an earlier-drinking Rieussec than the 2015. 92-94 points" Neal Martin, RobertParker.com "The 2016 Rieussec is gorgeous. Despite the relatively low acidity of the vintage, it preserves a good deal of aromatic freshness, with plenty of lemon confit, passion fruit and coconut overtones. The decision to lower the Sémillon a touch and increase the Sauvignon Blanc has paid handsome rewards. The 2016 is not a truly profound Sauternes - that would have been nearly impossible this vintage - but it comes close. Quite frankly, it is nearly impossible to spit. 93-96 points" vinous.com (AG) "Lots of botrytis here in addition to dried mushrooms and dried fruit such as pineapple and peaches. Medium to full body. Medium sweet. Very long and intense. A triumph. 98-99 points" jamessuckling.com

Tasting Notes"The 2018 Coutet has a very intense bouquet with marmalade, clementines, mango and light apple blossom scents, all delivered with exceptional precision and delineation. The palate is vibrant and tensile on the opening thanks to a killer line of acidity that slices through the viscous fruit. There is so much tangible energy in this Coutet. This comes highly recommended. 94 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com

Tasting Notes"The 2018 Pavillon Blanc is made of 100% Sauvignon Blanc that was picked in August—there was no water stress on the vines at this stage. The wine has a pH of 3.1 and 13.5% alcohol. It leaps from the glass with exuberant green guava, fresh pineapple and apricot scents with hints of mandarin peel, honeysuckle and fresh ginger. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant and very fresh with wonderful, intense tropical layers, finishing very exotic. 93-95 points." Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, April 2019 "One of the whites of the vintage is the 2018 Château Margaux Pavillon Blanc, which is all Sauvignon Blanc brought up in barrel. This racy, medium to full-bodied beauty offers a terrific sense of freshness and tension as well as complex notes of lemon curd, white grapefruit, white flowers, and salty minerality. Vibrant, racy, yet also textured and beautifully concentrated, it's unquestionably in the top handful of whites in the vintage. 95-97 points." Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com, May 2019 "A very powerful and dense white with loads of dried lemons and cooked peaches. Full-bodied with chewy phenolic tension and texture. Extremely long. Lasts for minutes. Layered! 97-98 points." James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, April 2019

Tasting Notes"You just know that Aile d'Argent is going to suit a vintage like this, where the warmth of the summer accentuates the rich apricot, white pear and juicy nectarine flavours of the wine. This tiny drop of Muscadelle gives lift and florality to the finish, and overall there is width, depth and texture aplenty, with a fabulous lick of salinity on the finish. Does a great job of walking the tightrope - and the team under Philippe Dhalluin are not afraid of underlining the texture of the wine, giving 17% of the production some malolactic fermentation, one of the rare Bordeaux whites to do so. Harvest September 7 to 11. Drinking Window 2021 - 2034. 95 points" Jane Anson, Decanter Magazine "A very exotic Aile d’Argent with dried-mango, fresh-pineapple, and sliced-lemon aromas and flavors. Full-bodied and very ripe, yet it’s framed by bright acidity. Tangy and vivid with a long, intense finish. Exciting. Contrastive. 38% semillon and the rest sauvignon blanc and gris. 97-98 points." Very classic with a botrytis note and some real freshness. Weight and integrity here with a savoury, even bacon-fat, finish. Not one of the sweetest wines, or what I probably mean is that the acidity is more pronounced than in many of its peers. Sleek and fresh. Tasting Notes“The 2020 Malartic Lagraviere Blanc leaps from the glass with invigorating notes of lime blossoms, lemon meringue pie and green mango, followed by hints of wet slate, green apples and wild sage. The medium-bodied palate has a racy backbone and loads of citrus and mineral layers, finishing with a peppery kick. Drink 2023-2030. 91-93 points" Lisa Perotti-Brown, RobertParker.com------"The 2020 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc has a very well-defined bouquet, although unlike its peers, this demands a few minutes to find its voice. But it is worth the patience, delivering almost Burgundy-like citrus fruit mixed with apricot, citrus lemon and crushed stone aromas. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity that cuts through the intense notes of citrus peel, lychee and chamomile. Great energy here, and it fans out gloriously toward the finish. Sophisticated and quite delicious. 92-94 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"Lots of dried-apple and lime aromas and flavors with some green melon. It’s full-bodied and creamy with a nice combination of fruit and intensity. Phenolic and structured. 95-96 points" jamessuckling.com

Tasting Notes"The 2020 Aile d'Argent is terrific. Aromatic and vibrant, it possesses terrific energy and a bit more verve than in the past. The blocked malo style works especially well in this vintage. The Sauvignon Blanc is quite expressive, especially in the wine's aromatic profile. 91-93 points" Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com------"The 2020 Aile d’Argent was picked early, from August 24, to keep the acidity, with no skin contact and no malolactics in the final blend. The winemaking team used all the Sauvignon Gris to obtain richness, and the wine will be bottled in early June. It has an alluring, perfumed bouquet of honeysuckle, orange pith and lime scents, very well defined and the oak skillfully integrated. The palate is smooth in texture, displaying just the right amount of bitterness to lend edge on the entry, and quite tangy compared to recent vintages, featuring lime, melon and gooseberry notes, touches of lemongrass coming through toward the finish. Delicious. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"The first year made entirely under the direction of Jean-Emmanuel Danjoy. I was expecting this to be the wine in the Mouton stable with the most evident transition from Philippe Dhalluin, and certainly you see a little less exuberance, a little more sculpting rather than width, with sea breeze and citrus aromatics. Plenty of bright pineapple and apricot flavours, with nuance and balance, and the salty cracker finish that you always want from this wine. Will be bottled in June 2021. Harvest began on August 24 (same as 2011, joint earliest on record) through to 28. No more malolactic during winemaking as you saw (usually just 5-10%) under Dhalluin, and no skin contact, but the rich mouthfeel is instead found through a higher proportion of Sauvignon Gris, and no longer co-fermented with the Sauvignon Blanc. Drinking Window 2022 - 2030. 93 points" Jane Anson, Decanter Magazine------"Composed of 52% Sauvignon Blanc, 14% Sauvignon Gris and 34% Sémillon, the 2020 Aile d'Argent has no Muscadelle this year, no skin contact and no malolactic. It sails out of the glass with fabulously flamboyant notes of fresh pineapple, nectarines and jasmine, plus suggestions of key lime pie, passion fruit and orange zest. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers opulent tropical and citrus fruit layers, supported by plenty of freshness and a decadent touch of oiliness to the texture, finishing long and impactful. So hard to resist even at this nascent stage, I can't wait to see how this is going to age! 93-95+ points" Lisa Perotti-Brown, RobertParker.com------"This is full-bodied with layers of fruit. Ripe and flavorful. Lots going on with a fleshy feel. No malolactic this year. Sweet peach, honeysuckle and citrus. Contrastive. 52% sauvignon blanc, 14% sauvignon gris and 34% semillon. 95-96 points" jamessuckling.com

Tasting Notes"100% Sémillon. RS 137 g/l. Essentially produced from the third (19 to end October) and fourth (2–6 November) tris. Cask sample. Golden hue but still a little cloudy. Pure aromatics with peach and nectarine notes to the fore. Palate rich, fat and unctuous but balanced by the zesty, bitter-edged note of the botrytis. Very little acidity but there’s freshness all the same. Pretty long finish as well. 17+ points" jancisrobinson.com (JL)------"Full of pleasure, silky and richly textured, easy to sink into but carefully measured at the same time, addings its layers of orange peel, bloody orange, white pepper spice and truffle slowly but surely as it inches through the palate. Tiny floral notes accompany the saline minerality on the finish. Almost no botrytis in September, and then when the weather deteriorated at the end of September things really became a bit worrying. But they were able to hold on until October 19 (after stopping at the end of September, I imagine needing nerves of steel). Yields of around 8hl/ha. 3,000 cases of Suduiraut. 137g/l of residual sugar. A great example of what botrytis does - the pH is at 4, so the freshness comes from the bitterness of botrytis not high acidities. Drinking Window 2022 - 2045. 96 points" Jane Anson, Decanter Magazine------"A Sauternes with tart tartine, cooked apple and caramel. It’s full-bodied, juicy and sweet, yet there’s lots of caramel and spice, too, such as cloves. Comes across almost dry. But lots of sweetness. Pure semillon. Unique. Tiny production. 97-98 points" jamessuckling.com

Tasting Notes"The 2020 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc was cropped at 43hl/ha and will spend 18 months in barrel. It has a very composed bouquet of green apple, kiwi fruit, crushed rock and dried white flower aromas. There is nothing extravagant on the nose, but it is beautifully defined. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine bead of acidity, displaying light honeyed notes on the entry mixed with chamomile and almond and hints of marzipan. Very harmonious from start to finish, this is a refined and classy Domaine de Chevalier Blanc. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"An excellent white with precision, flesh and confidence, sure to age well. A ton of white pear and some soft pepper spice keeps up the pace and lift from beginning to end, and the intensity continues to build after the wine has left the palate - a sure sign of something special happening. A yield of 43hl/ha. Tasted twice. Unusual for me to score the red and white Chevalier at the same level, but both are extremely successful in this vintage. Drinking Window 2022 - 2032. 95 points" Jane Anson, Decanter Magazine------"The 2020 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc is fabulous. Bright and airy in the glass, the 2020 bristles with energy. Lemon confit, crushed rocks, mint and white pepper all pulse with tons of vibrancy. This finely-cut, chiseled white is going to need a number of years to be at its best, but it is so impressive and so full of potential. Bright saline notes punctuate the dazzling finish. Time in the glass brings out the wine's texture and layers. The Blanc is one of the world's great wines, hands down. 94-96 points" Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com------"The 2020 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc bursts with notions of ripe yellow apples, juicy pears and lime blossoms, plus hints of blanched almonds, yuzu zest and wet pebbles. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers impactful apple and citrus flavors with a racy backbone and seductive oiliness to the texture, finishing long and minerally. 94-96 points" Lisa Perotti-Brown, RobertParker.com------"A dense, creamy DC white with lots of rich cooked-apple, mineral, cream and praline character. It’s full and very layered with chewy intensity and a long, bitter-lemon and almost honey finish. Pretty phenolic tension, too. 96-97 points" jamessuckling.com
