Tasting Notes"The 2018 Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru comes from a single plot of around half a hectare in the lieu-dit of La Pièce Sous La Bois. It conveys superb terroir expression, almost Puligny-like in its evocation of wet, cold limestone, wet pavement after a sudden shower and light lemon peel elements. The palate is taut and crisp on the entry, a fine bead of acidity slicing through the intense citrus and orange peel notes, which segue into a quite a spicy ginger-tinged finish. I just want more on the aftertaste, which disappears quicker than I would like. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"Once again, and all the more remarkably so for the vintage, Jobard coaxes the restrained cool, pure and airy aromas to emanate from the wonderfully elegant floral, citrus and essence of white-fleshed fruit. The gorgeously textured medium-bodied flavors are powerful yet focused with a lovely minerality and just the right blend of bitter citrus zest character that renders the finish super-refreshing. Good stuff that will need to develop more depth but nonetheless, this is already very fine. Sweet spot Outstanding. 91-93 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------Old vines from the early 1950s and the young vines from 2009. Good flowering but the old vines always produce tiny grapes. Coming to this from the St-Aubin 1ers crus and another dimension is clearly evident. This is a complex supple wine with a nuanced range of flavours, mostly in white fruit, with perfectly balanced oak and fine length. Tasted: December 2019. 92-94 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com |

Tasting Notes"This comes from the lower, northern part of Santenay and is mostly a young vine cuvée. You can hear an echo of nearby Chassagne-Montrachet in the ripeness, richness and texture of the wine, which has flavours and aromas of honey, beeswax and lanolin, complemented by 30% new wood and more than enough acidity and freshness for balance. Tasting NotesGreat concentration with lemon pith and a fine, dry texture on the palate. One of the most succesful of Jadot's Pulignys in 2018. RKL "The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Garenne 1er Cru has an impressive bouquet of green apples, fresh pear and touches of petrichor, developing light walnut aromas so that it becomes almost Meursault-like. The palate is taut and fresh with a menthol undercurrent, and quite concentrated, displaying good definition and a palpable sense of energy toward the finish. Tasting NotesVines planted 1950. Tremendous ripeness and minerality on the nose, with white peach and flint aromas, expanding on the palate to show a glycerin texture and oak, completely harmonious and balanced by the fruit character. Despite the ripeness on the palate, the fruit remains on the peach-pear spectrum (rather than tropical). Exceptional value, showing real1er Cru character at this price level. RKL |

Tasting NotesThis is a 'negociant' wine, from bought-in fruit, but that doesn't really do it justice. The detail is that the brothers exchange grapes with friends, in this case they give some of their Chassagne fruit in exchange for 'Les Chevalieres' fruit, allowing them to add this appellation to their range. Tasting NotesFrom younger vines in the lower, northern part of Santenay and is mostly a young vine cuvée. The style in similar to Chassagne-Montrachet with lots of richness and texture, presumably influenced by the use of lees stirring and ageing in 30% new wood. The 2019 is stunning on the nose with an immediate impression of minerality and tropical character. This richness is balanced by lees ageing, retaining an overall savoury character, with a backdrop of new oak. Excellent persistence, remarkably consistent with Michelot's Gravieres 1er Cru but the winemaking style is subtly different, emphasising richness. RKL |

Tasting NotesThe premier cru 'Agneux' is located at the top of the slopes in Rully and is just 0.39ha in size. This climat is owned exclusively by de Suremain. Fresh lemon and citrus notes on the nose, confirmed on the palate, with orchard and stone fruits on the palate. Great richness here, not from oak or batonnage, but more a ripeness to the fruit and a texture on the palate. The aromas and flavours are very pure but also layered and subtle, probably as a result of the use of wild yeasts. Impressive breadth and length on the palate, with the pithy-citrus notes reverberating for quite some time. RKL------"Monopole, from vines replanted in 2008. Bottled at Christmas. Pale colour with a light green tint. Very elegant, crisp, not too appley, more in white fruit, pure and quite long, not too rich despite the 14.1% alcohol. Very pretty finish. 88 points." Tasting NotesFrom a 2 hectare clos in the heart of Fuissé on soft limestone and marl soils. Most of the vines were planted in 1956. Fermented and aged for 10 months in 20% new oak, with a further 8 months in tank. Rich and showing lots of very ripe fruit concentration, as well as new oak and hazelnut aromas. A glycerin texture on the palate, more (well-integrated) new oak, lots of fresh character to the fruit and a really delightful saline streak on the finish with excellent length. RKL "Very rich and opulent on the nose. Rather like old-fashioned barrel-fermented Chardonnay with a little spiciness. Great stuff so long as you like the style. A little tension on the end and no hurry to drink. 2020 - 2025. 16.5 points." Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com Nov 2020 "An attractively fresh and bright nose is comprised by a variety of white fleshed fruit, orange peel and a more discreet floral hint. The lush and overtly opulent medium-bodied plus flavors are shaped by citrus-tinged acidity on the clean and dry finale. As is usually the case with this wine, it’s a big and powerful though not especially refined PF. 89-92 points." Allen Meadows, Burghound, Dec 2020 |

Tasting Notes"Collet's Chablis vines are located in several parcels amounting to over 16ha. One of the earliest exponents of an organic approach, the range here is distinctive and high quality. A vibrant, fresh, fruit-forward Chablis enhanced by mineral undertones. Already in very good balance, the acidity and flinty characters provide a fine structure for the weight of fruit. The Collet family have links in the region to 1792 and this is fine example with lots of potential. 92 points." Andy Howard MW, for Decanter Magazine, Oct 2020 |

Tasting NotesThis gives a sense of great density on the nose but then also has impressive tension on the palate. The fruit character is of white stone fruits with lots of delicate floral complexity, but the overall effect is of a very ripe and rich style. RKL "The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Abbaye de Morgeot 1er Cru has a lovely bouquet of orange blossom, freshly sliced pear and light nectarine aromas, plus a hint of praline in the background. The palate is well balanced with a honeyed opening, quite rich in style, and yet there is wonderful tension. Appealing tropical notes of passion fruit and guava on the finish. Tasting NotesAnother in a line-up of really impressive Chassagnes (a Chassagne year?), very appealing with lots of elegance and charm rather than brute power of structure. This has a great energy with floral aromas, some honey and expressive minerality, very persistent on the palate. RKL "The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle 1er Cru is well-defined on the nose, offering scents of honeysuckle and yellow plum, then lemon thyme and light crushed stone aromas. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Not quite as harmonious as the Abbaye de Morgeot on the finish; this is slightly more attenuated and bitter at the moment. But it has good potential for a Chassagne made in a classic style. 2022-2032. 90-92 points." Neal Martin Vinous.com, Dec 2020 |

Tasting NotesIntense herbal and minty on the nose with lots of savoury aromas, the palate is then quite muted by contrast (at this stage). Feels like a coiled spring with tonnes of energy and some density, will need 3 years or more to unfurl itself. RKL "The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a very tempting bouquet of lemon curd, frangipane, almond and light white chocolate scents. It is still a little oaky, but that will integrate with time. The palate is well balanced with a rounded, marmalade-tinged opening, then veers toward a curiously "fishy" second half, almost like a Chenin Blanc in style! Maybe this is just a phase it’s going through. Give it 3–5 years in bottle. 2022 - 2038. 91-93 points." Neal Martin, Vinous.com, Dec 2020 "Aromas of confit citrus, crisp orchard fruit and mint mingle with hints of petrol and toasted bread in an incipiently complex bouquet, introducing the 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot), a full-bodied, multidimensional and muscular wine built around serious reserves of structuring dry extract and girdled by lively acids. Long and chalky, this is very promising. 93-95+ points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2019 Montrachet Grand Cru is tasked with following the stunning Chevalier-Montrachet and, to be frank, it never achieves the same degree of intensity on the nose, coming across rather conservative by comparison. The palate is well balanced with a tang of marmalade enlivening the opening. Very good weight and persistence, as you would demand from a "Monty," yet it does not possess the swagger and hubris of the superior Chevalier. 2025-2045. 93-95 points." Tasting Notes"This Bourgogne includes declassified young vines (2015) from St-Aubin 1er Cru Derriere Chez Edouard. Pale lemon yellow. Rather a classic bouquet, with plenty of white fruit energy behind. Interesting dichotomy on the palate where there is a classic Jobardian austere tension and then some plumper fleshier white fruit behind. Very good length for a Bourgogne. Tasted: 11/1/2021. (5 star wine) 88-90 points" Jasper Morris, insideburgundy.com |

Tasting Notes"Pretty lemon and lime colour. The robust bouquet needs a little aeration. This is on the muscular side. There is a wealth of mainly white fruit, one or two plums, with thick skins, almost a sense of tannin at the back. Just a question of further maturation, this is going to be a high class Meursault-Blagny with time – well worth a considerable wait. Wonderfully rich and open, with a glycerine-texture and evident oak (25-30% new). This will delight lovers of traditional Meursault. Ripe, luscious fruit, almost a whiff of California, but with great energy, in perfect equilibrium. RKL |

Tasting NotesFrom younger vines in the lower, northern part of Santenay and is mostly a young vine cuvée. The style is similar to Chassagne-Montrachet with lots of richness and texture, presumably influenced by the use of lees stirring and ageing in 30% new wood. Closed on the nose at present (the wines were racked yesterday) but with a huge attack on the palate, opening out to an even bigger mid-palate. Citrus and pineapple fruit character, but still with lots of freshness and a lovely salinity at the end. RKL |

Tasting NotesThe 'Sous La Roche' lieu-dit is a small vineyard, less than half a hectare, quite high up on the slopes above the village of Santenay, with strong limestone-influence to the soil. Citrus and floral notes on the nose, powerful and intense, lovely intregration to the oak. Ripe exotic fruits on the palate and tending towards buttery notes, with excellent length, given this is a lieu-dit. 20-25% new oak. A superb start to the tasting! RKL |

Tasting NotesFrom a walled vineyard in Bouzeron, owned entirely by the Borgeots, hence this is a monopole for the domaine. Clean, green orchard fruits on the nose, pear and green apple, with a fresh citrus note. Notably ripe fruit on the palate, with some richness and a pithy texture, but still retaining the orchard fruit character. Based on how cask samples of previous vintages have fleshed-out in bottle, this will be one of the best Clos Carbonades we have tried. RKL |

Tasting NotesThe Clos St Jean premier cru is known best-known for pinot noir, but the Borgeots are unusual in having an excellent holdings of 60-year old chardonnay vines here. The Clos has Benedictine origins dating back a thousand years and faces east, protecting it from some of the hottest temperatures in summer. The 2020 has notable aromas of white flowers and some hazelnut, with very pure white stone fruit and orchard fruits. After this elegant impression, the intensity on the palate is astounding. The Vieilles Vignes is superb every year, but this is the most compelling Clos St Jean we have tasted. RKL |

Tasting NotesThe Borgeots have excellent holdings in Chassagne, with Chardonnay vines up to 60 years old, producing low yields of very concentrated fruit. The elevage is in up to 25% new oak, which is very much in the background, with the pithy texture and 'ciselé' (chiselled) fruit giving this wine its fresh but structured character. Great intensity in 2020, with green orchard and citrus fruits predominating, despite the ripeness of the year. A very classical expression of village-level Chassagne. RKL |

Tasting NotesSituated right in the centre of the village of Fuissé, this Clos is just over two "hectares" in size and is planted on a shallow slope that faces east. Although a small parcel of vines was planted in 2003, most of the vineyard dates back to 1956, and is therefore more than 60 years old, making it one of the oldest owned by the domaine. The soil is derived from limestone-rich marls deposited during the upper Bathonian. Fermentations and ageing take place in casks, of which 25% is new and 75% is one to three years old, for 10 months. Ageing is completed in stainless steel tank, on lees, for a further 7 months. The 2020 vintage will be bottled in February 2022.------"Once again moderate wood is present on the nose of ripe white orchard fruit that exhibit background spice and quinine nuances. The rich and relatively full-bodied are quite generous yet not so such as to be blurry or lacking focus on the delineated, energetic and balanced finale that offers just a bit more depth along with sneaky good length. 2026+. 91-93 points." Tasting NotesThe 1.15-hectare Les Perrières vineyard is situated to the south of the amphitheatre, on mid-slope just beneath the parcel of Le Clos. Exposed south-south-east, the slope here is steeper than it is on the Clos. The vineyard was planted in 1972-1974. The soil, which is derived from alluvial deposits, consists of a mix of deep silt and stony clay. The subsoil features streaks of limestone and limestone marls, while the top layers are littered with stones on the surface. Fermentation and elevage are handled as for the Clos des Prouges. The 2020 vintage will be bottled in February 2022.------"Here too the wood treatment is more prominent still with notes of vanilla and toast fighting a bit with the ripe aromas of poached pear and anise. There is impressive size, weight and power to the bigger and equally generously proportioned flavors that brim with both dry extract and minerality before culminating in an elegant but powerful finish. Patience advised here too. 2027+. 91-93 points." Allen Meadows, Burghound, Issue 84------"This wine is from east-facing vines behind Mme. Ferret’s house, and is thus called by the domaine ‘Clos de Jeanne’ although it is in premier cru Les Perrières. It delivers a substantial wine; here the cask ferment (20% new) is more apparent, yet it holds this will and shows approachably toasty ripe apple aromas. There is abundant extract here but the wine remains impressively fresh and lingers seductively on the finish. 92 points." Charles Curtis MW, Decanter------“The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Perrières 1er Cru has a very focused, almost steely bouquet, beautifully defined with neatly integrated oak. White flowers emerge with time in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and wonderful salinity with a vibrant and energetic finish. I cannot wait to taste the finished wine. 91-93 points.” Neal Martin, Neal Martin, Vinous.com, Nov 21 |
